Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 package breakfast sausage patties if using more, be sure to cook in batches

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400F and line your baking sheet with parchment or foil. Place the sausage patties in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving room in between so the sausages aren't touching each other.
  • Cook the sausage. Once the oven temperature reaches 400F, place the sheet pan into the preheated oven & bake for 15-18 minutes from frozen or 8-10 minutes from fresh. If you're not sure if the sausages are fully cooked yet, the easiest way to tell is by using a digital meat thermometer to test the internal temperature. For pork sausage, the internal temp should be 160F and for chicken or turkey sausage it should reach 165F.

Notes

How to Store Oven Baked Sausage Patties

  • Store leftover sausage in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  • If you want to freeze them, let the sausage cool completely first, then transfer the patties to an airtight container or freezer bag. I like to place parchment paper between them so they don’t freeze together like hockey pucks.

  • They’ll keep in the freezer for up to 3 months. To reheat, warm them on the stove top or in the air fryer at 325°F for 3–5 minutes, until heated through.
